I wanted this to be a really reflective entry, to talk about how this book has been a work of love. A huge learning experience ...BLAH BLAH BLAH...

With my publication date coming up soon, I wanted to thank all the fantastic people that have helped me take The Eighth Day from being an elaborate slur to the book I’ve always wanted to write.

I've been really fortunate to be able to put together such an amazing team of editors, formatters, graphic designers, and beta readers, but there will be time for all of that - the thank you’s and the tales of writing- on another day soon. Right now, I want to appreciate this moment.

I Am Exhausted! My eyes sting, brains malfunctioning…I’m not even going to tell you about the pain in my ass…

I’ve committed the past two years to writing, revising, and rewriting. Editing, editing, editing.

Devoted to making this thing perfect, to making this dream happen.

I can’t tell you with any amount of pride how many times I thought I was a step away from being “done”.

Three months.

Then after the first draft.

Then I thought I was ready to publish After the very first edit…

it went like that for two years! Smdh Seriously lol.
